The Mid-Missouri Ronald McDonald House® offers more than affordable lodging, it offers a place of comfort. Families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House are rarely there for exactly the same reason, but all have the commonality that a child they love is ill or injured. Strong bonds between families are often formed during their stay.
The Ronald McDonald House is the cornerstone entity of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Every year the House acts as a home-away-from-home for between 800 and 900 families of hospitalized children. These families travel great distances to provide their children with specialized medical treatment that cannot be found near their home. Since opening in 1983, the Ronald McDonald House has hosted over 20,000 families.
